News of the BEST kind
It would appear at this time that a flight left for Haiti today at noon and had a medical crew on board along with tons of relief supplies. The same flight is *EXPECTED* to return as early as tonight with 61 of the 150 BRESMA orphans. I simply cannot cross my fingers enough fro thsi to work out....

How I learned to mind my own business
How I learned to mind my own business
I was walking past the mental hospital the other day,
and all the patients were shouting, '13....13.....13.'
The fence was too high to see over, but I saw a
little gap in the planks, so I looked through to see
what was going on.....Some idiot poked me in the eye with a stick!
Then they all started shouting '14....14....14'...

The Good That Some People Do
I cannot say enough about what a woman named Virginia Montanez is doing in the setting the highest bar possible for anyone who wants to put their blogging to good use. Her current endeavor to help the rescue of two Pittsburgh women and the Haitian orphans in their care in Port Au Prince has motivated thousands online, and through those thousands, potentially hundreds of thousands. All kinds of folks, big and small, rich and not so rich, have all rallied behind the story of Jamie and Ali, the BRESMA orphanage, and the 150 endangered babies and young children (see www.thatschurch.com). You can find Ginny there, or all over Twitter at @JanePitt. She has done soooooo much behind the scenes and moved many more to do what is needed to get all safe and sound back here in Pittsburgh. And she is ever-present and in contact with representatives and family members with updates and pleas for help.
I won't go into the details of the story here, as Virginia has already done that better than I ever could. I will, though, strongly urge anyone who reads this to go to her site, donate money or needed children's goods if you can, and at some point thank her for her tireless efforts to help these women and the children. A lot of us online have in some way been re-posting, re-tweeting, and just plain pushing away to get things done. Now. Thanks to Virgina, we have a direction to follow.

Have to start somewhere....
I have blogged elsewhere and never really spoken my thoughts....at least the ramblings that I sometimes claim to be thoughts...so I will give it a shot here. If you dont't like sarcasm or being told the truth even when it hurts, this may not be the place for your internet quest to take a break........
